Introduction

Welcome to the DAYSI project site. The DAYSI project is part of the exegeses conducted at the Utrecht School of the Arts by the students Adriaan Wormgoor and David Morgan. With DAYSI they want to create an experience of a possible future of mobile and ubiquitous technology.

The technological development in the fields of ubiquitous computing on one hand and personal mobile devices on the other is leading to new possibilities of interacting with information technology. DAYSI is a functional prototype of a system to visualize digital information layers over physical space. For this prototype to function a controlled space is created in the form of a supermarket. Users of DAYSI are able look around this supermarket mockup augmented with digital information.
